Surabaya is a nice beachy turquoise with soft hues.

It can water down to beautiful blues but when layered it tends to show more of the turquoise side of its spectrum. This allows the painter to use this color in a wide variety of subjects, such was the open oceans or frozen tundras.

Surabaya mixes beautiful cool greens with Royal Yellow and nice earthy tones with Venetian red.
