Mayan blue is an ancient pigment derived from Indigo and clay. This color represents Sacrifice in the ancient days of the Maya [1].
The paint itself gives a unique texture to the paper, while not leaving any gritty feeling. It has a unique, desaturated, stormy blue coloration, unlike any synthetic pigment we carry.
It is very special to carry this historical pigment in our LMColors collection, though not regularly in our store. In December 2022, this paint was a free thank-you color for our Patreon supporters, but it might make an appearance in our regular store in the future.
Other Genuine pigments we carry are Ivy (Sap green), Green Indigo.
