*Since Green indigo comes from a plant-based pigment, the lightfastness if expected to be low. We have not conducted our own research yet, but advice you to be wary when using this paint in commission pieces.
Green Indigo is a plant-based duo pigment. This color is a combination of pigment derived from the classic Indigo leaves, as well as the Reseda plant.
Green Indigo is a muted green with a gritty look. The paint does not feel gritty on paper but can have a slightly speckled look, with brown particles.
Because Green Indigo is a plant-based color, the pigmentation is lower compared to synthetic pigment-based colors. It will need more time to reactivate once you start painting, and to get a deep color you will get the best result by layering in a few thin layers. But, if we’re being honest, Green Indigo has a lot of charm used in its faint tone as well.
Other Genuine pigments we carry are Ivy (Sap green), Mayan Blue.
